School Lunches

Our school lunches are cooked on site and are of a very high standard.

There are at least three choices of meal (including a cold selection from a salad bar) providing a balanced diet. A drink of water is also provided.

Children select their lunch each morning in registration using an electronic system called Fastrak. Menus are shared with parents/carers at the start of the year so dishes can be discussed with children at home.

Several supervisory assistants look after the children on site at lunchtime.

Changes from meals to packed lunches and vice versa require two weeks written notice and should only be made at the beginning of a week, after admin staff have been informed.

Lunches are free for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (this is a Government initiative).
KS2 lunches are charged at £2.05 per day, £10.25 per week.

Packed lunches are also permitted. Children bringing a packed lunch are provided with a fresh water drink or may choose to bring their own
(no cans, fizzy drinks or glass bottles).

We would ask that your child’s packed lunch box or bag is clearly labelled with his/her name as we often have a number of identical lunch boxes! We encourage healthy packed lunches which provide a balanced meal with no chocolate bars or sweets.

Please note that Ribbon is a nut-free site.
